Gay affirming churches

What do we intend by “Affirming?”

We characterize the word “affirming” as meaning the church does not view homosexuality in and of itself as a sin. Therefore they would welcome and treat a homosexual person no different than any other person who walked through their church doors inquiring Christ. We also believe that an affirming congregation allows ALL people the ability (as much as denominational polity allows) to be involved in ALL aspects of the community’s life, including serving on committees, leading small groups, ordaining LGBTQ+ folks to ministry, and performing same-sex marriages.

Sometimes “affirming” churches are also known as “gay-friendly,” “accepting,” or “welcoming” churches. Although these terms acquire often been used interchangeably, some congregations differentiate between the words. For example, a church may “welcome” ALL people but may NOT “affirm” all lifestyles, and therefore Gay folks may not be allowed in leadership positions within the church. In the same vein, some denominations may exclude same-gender marriage or the ordination of lesbian, gay, multi-attracted

Jeremiah KaayaSupporterPastor at Springs of Power Church, Teacher by professionalHow we package homosexuality can never construct it acceptable. It is an abomination like one sleeping with their parents, sleeping with beasts, and if we have accepted none of these, neither will we acknowledge gay. Mark you, it is not us to decline or accept, the standard has already been set by God, gay is not only a sin, it is an abomination. Whatever we are discussing here or there is our business, not God's. On that note therefore, I can't go to a gay affirming "church" because to be gay is already non-Christian, for that reason I would be attending something else not a Christian Church, at least not one Jesus the CHRIST died for. I thank God for His Son Jesus the CHRIST, had it not been Him, at the right hand of God the Father, pleading for us day and night, in the hope that we will transform, this world would own already suffered the fate of of Sodom and Gomorrah. Jesus stands between us and God the Father, otherwise, His wrath would have already finished us. Let us stop bragging about sin, more so abominations like homosexual, because if we don't, soon people will begin to demand to freely practice inc
